Stile Antico Vocal Workshop    -   Following the success of last year’s vocal workshop with I Fagiolini, Music in the Round is pleased to present a three-hour vocal workshop open to adult choral singers led by three members of Stile Antico. The group’s most recent release, Song of Songs, won the 2009 Gramophone Award for Early Music and reached the top of the US Classical Chart. Explore repertoire including Campion’s Never Weather beaten Sail and Ramsey’s Howare the Mighty Fall’n’In partnership with Sheffield Cathedral    Participants: £15. Alight: Twilight, a spectacular musical show in the City Hall at 7.30pm will interweave the history of Sheffield since its formation as a city in 1893 with music, dance and visual projections.  Featuring over 650 performers and the world première of Timothy Allen’s Olympic Triptych (composed especially for the combined Alight forces) the show will juxtapose the SUBB and SHU bands, the Sheffield Music Service and Endcliffe Orchestras, the Chorus, the Dambusters March, the music of Glenn Miller and Handel and the Greasy Chip Butty Song – not to be missed!
